Puppy Club

We invite your to bring your puppy into the practice for weighing, worming and flea treatment each month up to six months of age enabling him/her to get used to visiting the vets without experiencing injections, thermometers up bottoms etc.

The time spent with the nurse allows her to offer advice / demonstrations and you to ask questions  on the following topics:

  • diet and nutrition

  • teeth cleaning

  • worming and flea treatment

  • house training

  • neutering

Demonstrations can be given on:

  • grooming

  • teeth cleaning

  • nail cutting

  • cleaning ears

To be a successful pet, your dog must be able to get on well with other puppies, dogs, children and adults as well as being able to cope with everyday experiences.

However, as this doesn’t happen automatically, you have to socialise your puppy and expose it to noises and experiences that will enable it to have pleasant encounters.

By socialisation I mean meeting and playing with other puppies, adult dogs, children and adult humans!

The idea is that the more people your puppy meets and plays with, the more tolerant and friendly it will become.

Puppy parties are held at the practice a week after your puppy's second injection. For more information on puppy socialisation and parties click on the tabs below:
