Rosie was determined to get the cat that was sitting on top of the fence.  She tried to jump up to reach it but unfortunately, when she landed back on the ground she sat on part of a plant.  The 'stick' piece of plant broke off and literally went  up inside her bottom / rectum.

When she came into the surgery Rosie was very subdued and a piece of stick about three inches long was sticking out of her bottom.  She allowed Mr Warner to gently remove the stick and incredibly a further six inches was inside her.  She was given pain relief and antibiotics  and barium x-rays were taken but amazingly there was no damage to the walls of the rectum.

So the moral of this story is not to chase cats - let's hope that Rosie has learnt her lesson!
