Lilly had been seen eating stones and
was being sick when her owners brought her in to the surgery. On palpating her abdomen, the vet could feel a stone
in her intestines. An x-ray was taken which confirmed this was in her
bowel.
Lilly was put on intravenous fluids and an exploratory
enterectomy was performed to locate and remove the stone. She was given
intravenous antibiotics and pain relief.
An infusion pump is used to ensure accurate delivery of intravenous fluids

The stone can be seen protruding within the
intestines

Safely removed from the bowel which was then sutured together
