Fun Dog Show & BBQ 2009

The rain held off to enable us to celebrate our 3rd birthday on Sunday 26th July with a dog show, open day and BBQ

Our thanks go to all our staff for making this another successful day and to all of you for coming along and joining in the fun. We raised over £200 for the Dog Trust and Cats in Care

Crowds gathered within the practice to buy raffle tickets, take part in our quiz, guess the name of the Tortoise and to have a look around our facilities

Face painting - huge thanks to Chris for undertaking this task and for doing such a good job!  Donations given are going to the charity Get Kids Going who provide children and young adults with mobility and sports equipment.

Thanks to our good friends Nicky and Nathan for the BBQ (well Nathan brought it over and Nicky did the cooking!)

All donations from the burgers and hot dogs, raffle, guess the name of the Tortoise and dog show entries are going to the Dog Trust and Cats in Care

Forte Dodge, Bayer and Royal Canin were on hand for advice and brought lots of exciting things to give away!

Anna from Forte Dodge explaining all about vaccinations

Sam from Bayer discussing worms, fleas and ticks

Hayley from Royal Canin with Phillippa advising about nutrition

Terry Linden of Sportraits took photos and judging by the queue this proved to be very popular

Ready and action

They say never work with animals and children but Terry takes the most wonderful photographs of both! And of adults too!

Owners and their dogs gathered outside the practice getting ready for the dog show - a slight shower didn't deter them

The dog show's success is down to Daphne Fielding who kindly found our judge, donated the rosettes and stewarded the event.
