  Exotic Pets Afternoon

Prospective exotic pet owners and those who already own one (or more!) were invited to see and handle a range of exotic species.  Veterinary Surgeon Karen Grabham was on hand to offer guidance and advice on all aspects of caring for a variety of animals.

DPS Exotic of Warminster kindly leant us a Bearded Dragon, a Chameleon, a Milk Snake, two Geckos and two Tortoises.

The milk snake was very lively

Petstown of Melksham joined us for the afternoon and brought along a Hamster, several Gerbils and four Rats.

Rats make wonderful pets and are very inquisitive.  These two youngsters are used to being handled

Three ferrets were accompanied by their owner Miss Freegard who was on hand to advise about handling, feeding and looking after these lovely pets.

The ferrets enjoyed being taken for a walk around the pracitce

Sarah brought two of her rabbits and provided a wealth of information about nutrition, husbandry and housing.  National Rabbit Week is coming up in April so you will have another opportunity to come in and discuss all aspects about your rabbit with Sarah or one of the vets.

Georgia kindly came along with her guinea pigs and Tonker the Tortoise
